‘State of City’ address sold out

Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce leaders report that Thursday’s State of the City address sold out quicker than any in the history of the event, and more than 100 people have asked to be placed on a waiting list, should seats become available.

Mayor A.J. Holloway will be presenting his thirteenth annual report on the welfare of Biloxi during a chamber-sponsored luncheon at IP Casino Resort in Biloxi. The event has sold out for the past several years, but chamber leaders say the 520 seats available this year were quickly reserved by individuals and businesses.

Cable One Cable TV Advertising, which regularly assists the city on public outreach projects, will broadcast the address to its Biloxi subscribers on Friday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Cable 13. The address also will be carried on the city’s website at biloxi.ms.us
