Council eyes repair payments, Moore donation

The Biloxi City Council on Tuesday afternoon will consider measures involving repair work to a host of city facilities and a donation of $100,000 to Moore Community House, a non-profit group that provides daycare in east Biloxi.

The council’s agenda for its 1:30 meeting at City Hall contains 17 measures in all, and 13 code-enforcement cases, including one that had been tabled in May.

The Moore Community Center grant will be matched by the center’s existing funds and used to construct a new facility in east Biloxi.

The council’s agenda also includes approving payment for repair work at ball parks, soccer fields, the Biloxi Community Center and the Biloxi Sports Complex; the purchase of spare tires for use post-storm; and pre-development agreements for a new facility to house a new Biloxi Community Center and new downtown library.
