Come on and take a free ride, says CTA

You can step on a CTA bus anywhere in Biloxi for free on Saturday, as part of Coast Transit’s Last Stop for our Ride Free Summer Shopper’s Day.

The public transit agency is introducing Ride Free Summer Shopper’s Days, with free fares in one city CTA serves each month. First stop: Biloxi.

“Here at CTA we are always looking to support the local economy, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said CTA director Kevin Coggin, noting that that the Ride Free service “will bring patrons to local businesses and allow you to experience all the great things CTA has to offer.”

Among CTA’s Biloxi routes: the popular Beachcomber, which runs along U.S. 90; the Casino Hopper, which runs a loop of East Biloxi casinos; and the Pass Road route, which runs from the Biloxi Transit Center to Edgewater Mall.

Said Coggin: “Get on board and ride free through the beautiful town of Biloxi for lunch at delicious restaurants, amazing shopping, and entertaining gaming. This is the perfect opportunity to ride on our safe, reliable, buses and enjoy a day in Biloxi with none of the hassles of parking. Call your friends and hop on for a day of fun!”
