News & notes: Ward 2, reports, no skating

Ward 2 parade: There was the threat of rain, for sure, but an abbreviated Ward 2 Christmas parade spread Christmas cheer nonetheless, from O’Reilly Park to Beck Park on Division Street, last weekend. Check out the five-minute procession, which preceeded a toy giveaway at the Gruich Center, by clicking here.

Weekly reports: Three key city departments – Fire, Police and Community Development – provide weekly reports tracking calls for service, permitting and more. To see last week’s report and the complete archive, click here.

No skating: The Coast Coliseum has ended this year’s public ice-skating season because of a downed Zamboni on a holiday weekend. Said the arena in a Facebook post: “We are incredibly sorry for any inconvenience. This is not how we wanted to end this year’s season. We do look forward to welcoming you back for the 2022 Ice Skating Season.”
