Public to get look at draft of Land Development Ordinance
City planners, consultants and interested citizens from across the city spent the better part of 2009 attending meetings to help craft an update of the city’s comprehensive plan, a document that will help guide growth for the next 20 to 25 years.
Now that the document is in hand, the next step has arrived: an update of the city’s Land Development Ordinance, a set of standards and provisions to help realize the goals set forth in the comprehensive plan.
On Monday, libraries and other municipal offices in Biloxi will begin displaying a draft version of the proposed Land Development Ordinance, giving the public a chance to review the document before public hearings are staged later this month.
