The City of Biloxi’s Donal Snyder Community Center, located at 2520 Pass Road, will soon be changing its Saturday hours.
Beginning September 12, the Donal Snyder swimming pool will be closed on Saturdays. Patrons may still swim on Saturdays at the Biloxi Natatorium, another City of Biloxi facility which is located on Father Ryan Avenue next to the Biloxi Junior High.
On October 3, the Center will change its Saturday hours to 8 a.m. until noon. The facility has seen a drop in attendance which has assisted in the reason for the time changes.
“After reviewing the numbers, attendance on Saturdays have been too low to justify the expense of longer hours,” stated the Parks and Recreation Director Nathan Sullivan.
The Donal Snyder Community Center is a community center that offers swimming, racquet ball, basketball, a fitness center as well as housing city dances and senior programs.
