In observance of National Historic Preservation Month in May, the Biloxi Bay Chamber, the Biloxi Main Street Program and the Mississippi Heritage Trust are partnering with the City of Biloxi to present “Thursdays in May” to share information about and celebrate efforts to Preserve Biloxi.

Thursday, May 8, Biloxi Cemetery Tour and Refreshments, 5:30 p.m. Step back into the past as Biloxi High School students present graveside re-enactments, followed by refreshments hosted by the Beau Rivage
Thursday, May 15, History Channel Grant Presentation, 6 p.m., Biloxi Jr. High School Auditorium.

Thursday, May 29 Preservation Awards and Biloxi Landmark New Designation, 5:30 p.m.,

Join us as we honor the individuals, businesses, and organizations that have helped to preserve and protect our history and Culture since Hurricane Katrina. The awards will be presented by Mayor A.J. Holloway at City Hall followed by a ribbon cutting and reception at the newly restored Bond-Grant House. Sponsored by Biloxi Main Street District, and Biloxi Chamber of Commerce.
All of the programs are free to the public. Several of the preservation activities celebrated in “Thursdays in May” are funded in part through a Preserve America Grant from the National Park Service or through the Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area Program.
