Housing class offered online

Visions of Hope, a community service agency in Biloxi, has launched its housing education online course to help new homeowners qualify for up to $30,000 in the city’s downpayment assistance program.

The eight-hour course is available in English and Spanish. Those successfully completing the course must make a counseling appointment to receive a completion certificate.

Completion of the course offered by either Visisions of Hope or Mercy Housing is one of the requirements of the city’s home-buyer assistance program. Others include: being a resident for at least one year and not owned a home in three years, and having an income of less than $43,200 for a family of four.
