Town Green to host Arbor Day Festival and Run on Feb. 20

The Arbor Day Festival and 22nd Annual Arbor Day 5K and 1 mile health run/walk/roll will be held on Saturday, February 20 at the Biloxi Town Green, located across from the Hard Rock Casino.

Festivities begin with the 5K run at 9 a.m. and the 1 mile health run/walk/roll and quarter-mile ability challenge at 9:45 a.m. Participants of the run will receive a t-shirt and the first 500 runners will receive a tree in honor of Arbor Day.

Trophies will be given out to overall male and female as well as to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group males and females. All wheelchair participants will receive a trophy.

The Arbor Day Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission. The staging area will host continuous entertainment including live music by the Navigator. Additional festivities include a Gyrospace, space walk, children’s art show, face painting, Lynn Meadows children’s crafts, contests and prizes and more.

The Arbor Day Festival and 22nd Annual Arbor Day 5K and 1 mile health run/walk/roll is sponsored by the City of Biloxi, the Gulf Coast Running Club, Disability Connection, and Replant South Mississippi.
