A city proposal to restore and upgrade the boat launch, parking and finger piers at Kuhn Steet in east Biloxi will be the subject of a hearing next week.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources will review the plans and allow public comment during a hearing on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. in Room 205 of the Bolton State Office Building on Back Bay in Biloxi.
The city wants to construct two 100-foot finger piers and a 40-foot-wide boat launch. Also planned are dredging and the expansion of the parking area on the site, which is south of the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art and east of the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum pier.
The hearing will allow residents to comment on the project.
Lighthouse pier: City Engineer Damon Torricelli said he expects contractors to finish minor work on the Lighthouse Pier next week so the city can open the site to the public.
