The City of Biloxi Aquatics Division will hold its summer swimming lessons registration for Biloxi residents on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to noon and for non-Biloxi residents on Saturday, May 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Biloxi Natatorium, 1384 Father Ryan Avenue.
Classes will begin Monday, June 6 with sessions held throughout the summer. All classes will end on Thursday, July 28.
The summer session will consist of four types of classes for different ages:
— IPAP –beginner classes for children 6 months of age to 4 years old. An adult must accompany each child in the water during this class.
— Level I & II – beginner classes for children ages 4 and up
— Level III & IV – intermediate classes for children
— Adult classes – for adults of all ages
Late registration will begin for Biloxi residents on Monday, May 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for non-Biloxi residents on Monday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Natatorium. Late registration will continue weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the summer until all classes are full.
The cost for the two week session is $30 for each Biloxi resident and $50 for each non-Biloxi resident. Registration must be done in person.
All classes are taught by certificated American Red Cross instructors.
In addition, the Biloxi Red Tide Swim Team will hold registration at the Biloxi Natatorium for Biloxi residents on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to noon and for non-Biloxi residents on Saturday, May 21 from 8 a.m. until noon. Registration is $15 for Biloxi residents and $25 for non-Biloxi residents. Registration will continue weekdays at the Biloxi Natatorium throughout the summer. Practice starts Monday, May 23 with evening practice from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
