The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for the first 20 Start Smart Football Program participants. Registration is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Office, located at 380 Hiller Drive.

The Program is open to all children ages 3 to 5 and their parents or a responsible adult. Sessions begin on Tuesday, September 15 and continue for five following Tuesdays, ending on October 20. Each session will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Community Center, located at 2520 Pass Road. Participation is free for City of Biloxi residents and $25 for non-Biloxi residents.

The Start Smart Program is a program that helps to prepare children for organized sports using Koosh products. This program teaches children basic football skills such as kicking, passing and catching, all of which are needed to play the sport.
