CITY OF BILOXI HOSTS LOCAL PITCH, HITAND RUN COMPETITION

The City of Biloxi’s Parks and Recreation Department will host a free Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for area youth on Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. The competition will be held at the Biloxi Sports Complex located at 765 Wells Drive.

Pitch, Hit & Run is open to children ages 7 to 12 who want to demonstrate their talent in core baseball skills.

Registration will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and competition begins at 10 a.m. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and complete a registration/waiver form prior to competition.

Champions from this area competition will have the opportunity to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2008 MLB All-Star Game.
