CITY OF BILOXI AND HANDS ON GULF COAST HOLDS A DAY IN THE PARK

The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department along with Hands on the Gulf Coast will hold A Day in the Park on Saturday, February 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at John Henry Beck Park, 671 Division Street, Biloxi.
The Parks and Recreation Department, Hands on the Gulf Coast and many Biloxi residents will join together to dedicate the John Henry Beck Park Community Garden to Clara Watson, a long time resident and employee at Beck Park. The event is also to thank all of the volunteers for there time and effort in helping Biloxi during the recovery process along with bringing the community back to Beck Park.
The event is open to the pubic with free admission. Hot dogs, chips, and D’Vine’s fried chicken will be provided. Soul Patrol, a local children’s performance group, will perform at 1 p.m. along with other entertainment through out the day. Activities include beanbag tosses, basketball shootouts, relay races, face painting, and caricature drawings. Local students will also display their artwork along the fence.
