The Cedar Lake-Popp’s Ferry intersection will turn into a four-way stop for a couple of hours after midnight tonight while contractors re-locate the control box for the traffic signals at the intersection.
Temporary Stop signs will be placed at the site shortly before work begins, and the traffic signals will be inoperative while work is underway.
The work is part of the widening effort of Popp’s Ferry Road east of Cedar Lake Road. Traffic signals at the intersection will be back in full operation within a couple of hours.
Contractors are doing the work after midnight to minimize the inconvenience to motorists.
