BTV moves a step closer on Cable One

Testing of BTV: Biloxi Television, the city’s burgeoning government channel, continues on Channel 56 on Cable One in Biloxi.

Here is the programming scheduled today through Monday:

“RU Ready,” the storm-preparedness presentation held this month at the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, airs each day at 8:30 a.m., noon, 3:30 and 7 p.m. The program, which features an array of emergency managers and others, runs an hour and 14 minutes.

The June 11 meeting of the Biloxi City Council airs each day at 10 a.m., 1:30, 5 and 8:30 p.m. During the 95-minute meeting, councilmembers approved the Bertucci Park project on Popp’s Ferry Road, and discussed a number of other issues.

BTV also will see a series of video vignettes throughout the weekend, highlighting locations in Biloxi and the city’s history.

The regular programming lineup for BTV will be announced later this summer, when the channel also launches on Channel 99 on AT&T Uverse in Biloxi.
