Brodie Road to close Thursday to through traffic

Motorists who travel Brodie Road in north Biloxi should use an alternate route Thursday as the road will be closed for major upgrades for the next several months.

Although the roadway is not open to through traffic, residents will have access to their Brodie Road homes.

Initial phase of work will see Brodie Road widened to three lanes from Cedar Lake Road to Destiny Plantation and to two full lanes from Destiny Plantation to Lamey Road, the city limits with D’Iberville.

The overall $3.5 million project, which is being overseen by Yates Construction, is expected to be completed in about 14 months.
