The annual Downtown Biloxi Block Party for Cruisin’ the Coast takes place Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. throughout the downtown area.
Hundreds of vehicles will line city streets, many of which will be closed for the occasion, and two entertainment stages will offer cruising-era music.
Main Street Biloxi, which sponsors the affair with the City of Biloxi, the Biloxi and Biloxi Bay chambers, and the Peoples Bank, announced the entertainment lineup today:
Main stage, in front of City Hall
8 a.m. — Biloxi High School drama students performing music from Broadway shows “Grease” and “Hair Spray”
9 a.m. — “Elvis,” featuring Garry Wesley
10 am. — Coastal Vibrations from Jeff Davis campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
11 a.m. – DuWops, The Peoples Bank
Noon — Awards (Trophies are listed on Flyer)
12:30 p.m. — Biloxi Little Theater featuring songs from “Smokey Joes CafĂ©”
Town Green stage
9 a.m. — Biloxi High School drama students performing music from “Grease” and “Hair Spray.”
10 a.m. — Biloxi Little Theater featuring songs from “Smokey Joes CafĂ©”
11 a.m. — “Elvis,” featuring Garry Wesley

Reminder: ‘Katrina: the Mississippi Story’ is this afternoon
Dr. James Patterson Smith, author of the new book “Hurricane Katrina: The Mississippi Story,” will discuss his latest effort and his research during a free program today at 5:30 p.m. at the Biloxi Visitors Center.
