Biloxi sets March 1 as ROE deadline

The City of Biloxi has announced that property owners have until March 1 to sign right-of-entry agreements giving the city authority to remove debris from their property.

Property owners may download a copy of the agreement from the city web site or clicking here.

The forms, however, must be signed at the Community Development Department, which is on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in downtown Biloxi.

“The ROE agreements are not a guarantee that the city will remove debris from property,” Community Development Director Jerry Creel said, “but it is essential that they be signed in order to speed up the process.”

The city is working to remove as much storm debris as possible before March 15, when the 100-percent federal reimbursement is expected to end.

The city’s debris-removal efforts are one of the topics that Mayor A.J. Holloway is expected to address during the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce’s “Breakfast With the Mayor” Tuesday at 8 a.m. at Java Joe’s in the VIeux Marche.
