The Biloxi Library is hosting a book talk and signing with local author Dr. James Patterson Smith on Tuesday, Aug.  25, at 4:30 p.m.
Dr. Smith’s book “Hurricane Katrina: the Mississippi Story” is rooted in a wealth of oral histories, and tells the dramatic but under-reported story of a people who confronted unprecedented devastation. In often moving terms, the book addresses the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s arduous tasks handling a record-setting volume of debris and rebuilding homes, schools, businesses, and public infrastructure.
The library is located at 580 Howard Avenue, adjacent to the Biloxi Civic Center.
