The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department will hold registration for Biloxi Little League Baseball and Biloxi Girls Softball on two successive Saturdays, Feb. 7 and 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration will be at the Donal Snyder Community Center, 2520 Pass Road.
Little League Baseball is open to boys ages 5 to 16 whose birthday falls before April 30, 2009.
Girls Softball is open to girls ages 5 to 16 whose birthday falls before Jan. 1, 2009.
Both sports are free for Biloxi residents and $50 for non-Biloxi residents. Proof of residency and birth certificate are required at time of registration.

Biloxi to host annual Sweethearts Ball
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Sweethearts Ball and Dance on Friday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Sr. Community Center, 2520 Pass Road.
The Sweethearts Ball and Dance is open to pre-teens ages 12 to 14 and their parents. A King, Queen, Grand Duke, and Duchess will be crowned by random drawing.
Refreshments will be available and a local DJ will emcee the event. Security also will be provided.
All children must be picked up from the center by
8 p.m.

Mardi Gras Ball planned for Feb. 18
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Mardi Gras Ball & Dance on Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Biloxi Community Center, 591 Howard Ave.
The event is open to all children ages 6 to 12 and their parents. A King, Queen, Grand Duke, and Duchess will be crowned by random drawing. The King and Queen will reign over the Children’s Walking Parade on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Refreshments will be available and security will be provided during the event. All children must be picked up from the center by 8 p.m.
