Biloxi A to Z: State of the City, voting, and more

Headlining this week’s Biloxi A to Z video is the annual State of the City Address.

Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich presented his annual address to a Biloxi Bay Area Chamber audience on Thursday at the Beau Rivage. Throughout his presentation, Mayor Gilich amplified his message: From Vision to Reality. He spoke about how plans take time to become reality and today, Biloxi is seeing that reality through projects such as the Popp’s Ferry extension, sidewalks in Woolmarket, and the A.J. Holloway Sports Complex.

Mayor Gilich also gave updates on the work at the Saenger Theater and the Barq’s building. He mentioned the upgrades at Keesler Federal Park and gave an overview of the achievements of each of the city’s departments.

The annual State of the City presentation was recorded and the 39-minute video is available on demand on the city’s YouTube page.

Also in this week’s video: the municipal clerk’s office at Biloxi City Hall opens Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon for in-person absentee voting; the upper inside deck of the Biloxi Lighthouse is closed to the public for repairs; there’s a look at the weekend forecast and list of events; and the Azaleas in bloom.
