Biloxi A to Z: Saenger, top-rated school, weekend preview

Workers began removing about half of the 900 seats in the Saenger this week as renovations at the 92-year-old downtown theater shifted from the exterior to the interior. News & notes: Council, masks, debris, BTV

City Council: The Biloxi City Council has its next meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Biloxi City Hall. To see the agenda and supporting documents, click here.

Masks: The Mississippi Gaming Commission says its mandate that masks be worn by Mississippi casino employees and guests, in place since March 4, ends at 5 p.m. today. Individual casinos may continue to require face coverings.

Yard debris: Pelican Waste says large volumes of yard debris is causing a delay in pick up. Collection will be a day later than usual for today and Saturday, the company says. Reminder: In the event of serice issues, call the number on side of your trash cart.
