Biloxi A to Z: Piers, paving and parading

Four piers have reopened on Back Bay, and there’s a lineup of Christmas parades showing three time a day on BTV.

This week, the city re-opened four Back Bay piers – Forrest Avenue T-pier the Ice Wharf, Porter Avenue North and Oak Street North – that had been damaged by Hurricane Zeta, and repairs are underway at the Coliseum pier. Over at the Lighthouse pier, Seymour Engineering is continuing to work on the design of the new pier and paving the area south of the Biloxi Lighthouse.

News & notes: Woolmarket parade canceled, city council

Woolmarket Christmas parade: The annual community parade set to take place on Saturday has been canceled because of inclement weather.

City council: Biloxi City Council is not scheduled to meet next week. Council’s next meeting will be Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi City Hall.
