News & Notes: Weekly report, soccer registration, citizens academy

Soccer registration: The Biloxi Parks & Recreation Department will hold registration for its youth soccer league for ages 4 to 14 on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Donal M. Snyder Community Center on Pass Road. To see the flyer, click here.

Citizen’s Police Academy: The Biloxi Police is looking for individuals to join the third annual Citizen’s Police Academy. Those interested in learning more about the department and how officers work with the community, can complete an application for the next academy which begins Aug. 23. Applicants must be age 21 or older, a Harrison County resident, and pass a background check. For more details, click here.
