Biloxi A to Z: Firehouse cuisine, Tribe TV, welcome sign

Biloxi A to Z: Headlining this week’s video is the September programming on BTV.

This month on BTV, “Biloxi Cooks!” returns to the firehouse for a Mediterranean dish. Biloxi Firefighter III Sergio Acosta, along with Firefighter II Austin Bradley, walk you through their preparation of Mediterranean Chicken Thighs, Lemon Herb Rice, and Greek-Style Roasted Broccoli in the kitchen of Fire Station No. 1.

The twenty-four-minute program airs throughout the month on BTV at 7 a.m., 1 p.m., and 7 p.m. and is available on demand on the city’s YouTube channel.

Also, new this month on BTV is the debut of Tribe TV. This is a program put together by Biloxi High School students in Olivia Carson’s broadcasting classes. The program airs weekly at the school and now, the students are producing the program monthly for Biloxi residents. The monthly series will showcase different aspects of the school with student, teacher, coach, and staff interviews.

“The students are excited for the partnership,” said Carson. “This is an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and highlight many exceptional things about BHS.”

Tribe TV can be seen daily on BTV at 6:30 a.m., 12:25 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. And, it too is on demand on the city’s YouTube channel.
