Biloxi A to Z: February BNews, Shuckers, Pafford

Biloxi A to Z: This week’s video features the 24-page February BNews, the Biloxi Shuckers’ alternate identity for the 2024 season, and the numbers from Pafford’s first day on the job.

The February issue of BNews Monthly, which has just arrived in Biloxi mailboxes includes the list of Mardi Gras parades and routes, a look back at Carnival traditions on the Coast, details on the ward seven special election set for February 27 winter weather safety tips, a look at the newest members of the Biloxi Fire Department, and a reminder about Pafford EMS being in full service.

The issue also includes a look at the happiest time of year, the latest from the Biloxi Shuckers, and columns from Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi Sports, the infrastructure report, random notes, the community calendar, and the Back in the Day history column.

On Wednesday, the Biloxi Shuckers announced that the team would take on a new alternate identity at the Biloxi King Cakes for four of the games in the 2024 season.

And, earlier this week, Pafford EMS took over as Biloxi’s new EMS service. The group began Monday morning around 10:45 a.m. By midnight, Pafford answered 31 calls for service, and within the first 36 hours, the team had answered a total of 81 calls for service with an average response time of around eight minutes.

Also in this week’s A to Z video is a look at the weekend weather forecast and the weekend preview featuring some Mardi Gras events in Biloxi, including the annual Biloxi Children’s Mardi Gras Walking Parade on Saturday and the 8th Annual Pawdi Gras on the Point Pawrade.
