Biloxi A to Z: Cedar Lake Bridge study, police recruiting, and more

Biloxi A to Z: This week’s video features information on a Cedar Lake Bridge public meeting, police recruiting, and the annual Thanksgiving Feed the Needy Program.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, the City of Biloxi and Cypress Environment and Infrastructure will host a public meeting to discuss a current study on the Cedar Lake Bridge.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the Woolmarket City Center on Kayleigh Cove Drive.

During the meeting, the public will hear about a proposed project to address concerns about the Cedar Lake bridge and develop practical solutions for crossing or bypassing the Tchuoutacabouffa River to help ensure citizens and emergency response teams can access critical facilities such as schools, churches, main roads, and more.

Cypress Environment and Infrastructure has also set up a website that includes information on the project, the purpose and need for the project, and project alternatives. The website can be accessed by clicking here.

The meeting will be open to the public and open to the public’s feedback.

The Biloxi Police Department is continuing to actively recruit officers for the department. The Department has a new recruiting video, click here, and a new Join BPD recruiting page with all the essential information an interested candidate will need. The web page can be accessed by clicking here. Those interested in a career with the Biloxi Police Department can also email bpdapplicant@biloxi.ms.us.
