Beauvoir seeks volunteers for ‘Christmas at Beauvoir’

Beauvoir: The Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library is seeking volunteers who want to help out with “Christmas at Beauvoir,” a two-month holiday extravaganza that is expected to become a nationally recognized event.

A volunteer enrollment rally will continue Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Beauvoir, which is on U.S. 90 in west Biloxi.

Volunteers will be needed to help with setting up displays, directing parking, staffing the ticket booth, serving as greeters and helping in caroling or storytelling sessions.

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are being sought, but those under 16 years old should be accompanied by an adult.

“Christmas at Beauvoir” will be held each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 5 to 9 p.m., from Nov. 8 to Jan. 6.
