Motorists and fans of Scrapin the Coast, the two-day auto show at the Coast Coliseum, were already lining up and lining a coned U.S. 90 this afternoon as the two-day event unfolds against a backdrop of increasing coronavirus cases.
Today’s Be Prepared report has insight into the newly identified COVID-19 cases — 25,066 statewide, and 150 in Harrison County since Monday, including 93 in the past two days — as well as other coronavirus developments, traffic advice for this weekend, other news, and a bird’s eye view of a trio of nesting osprey on Point Cadet.
Key message in the video: “Now is not the time to become lax about the coronavirus. Now is not the time to let your guard — or your mask — down,” and “You should remember that this virus is spread through person to person. So remember to limit distance. You should keep six feet between you and the outside world. They say that is your safe zone.”
