Parents with pre-schoolers can find out what they need to know to be ready for kindergarten during a free program on Thursday afternoon at the Family Resource Center at Lopez School, which is on St. John Avenue in Biloxi.
The “Countdown to Kindergarten Readiness Fair” will be held Thursday between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. for families that have a child who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2011.
Schools participating in the event will be Cedar Lake Christian Academy, Our Lady of Fatima, Gorenflo, Jeff Davis, Nativity BVM, North Bay and Popp’s Ferry.
The event is being sponsored by Biloxi Public Schools, the City of Biloxi and the Biloxi Excel By 5 Coalition.
