Absentee ballots available weekdays at City Hall

Absentee voting is now taking place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the May 2 Democratic and Republican primaries for mayor and City Council.

Some registered voters are eligible to vote by an absentee ballot because of age, health, work demands, temporary relocation for educational purposes or their affiliation with the U.S. Armed Forces. City Council meeting:  Among the issues on the agenda for the Biloxi City Council meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. are consideration an updated Tidelands lease for the Popp’s Ferry causeway park, where the city plans to move forward with plans for a recreational area; and nearly $150,000 in support vehicles for the fire department.
