News & notes: Weekly report, staying safe, B-Alert, cones

Stay Safe & Play: Biloxi fire responders will be attending the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs event, Stay Safe & Play on Sunday, June 30 at the Point Cadet Plaza. The event is open to all ages and includes summer safety education, food, activities, and games. To see the flyer, click here.

B-Alert: The city offers a free texting service that transmits traffic advisories and other information you need on the go. To sign up for B-Alerts, on your cell phone, text BILOXI to 99411. It’s free and we use it only when needed. If you ever want to discontinue the service, just reply STOP. To learn more about the service, click here.

Traffic cones: Traffic cones set out during the Scrapin the Coast event will be picked up on Monday, June 24 at 3:30 in the morning. Please be cautious when traveling Beach Boulevard around and near the public works crews.
