Assists in building forms for curbs and gutters, manholes, catch basins, storm drains, sidewalks and pours concrete. Repairs or replaces storm drain pipe, manholes curbs, driveways, concrete steps, sidewalks, and catch basins. Cuts and installs rebar. Loads and unloads material. Operates air hammer, bush hog and other mechanical equipment. Occasionally operates such equipment as chain saws, weed eaters and similar light public works equipment. Operates power lawn mowers and small tractors to cut lawns and brush; occasionally operates trucks and other mechanized equipment incidental to regular work assignments. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Assists with city sponsored events. Works under the direction of the Superintendent. Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of educations and experience.
Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
