Entry level, semi-skilled work in the raising and lowering of manually controlled drawbridges. Job duties involve the monitoring of boat and automobile traffic to ensure the safe clearance of marine vessels, the manual operation of various mechanical components of the drawbridge, and the recording of pertinent data regarding bridge operation and related radio transmissions. Completes required forms on a daily basis, recording data on the date and time of opening and closing the bridge, name and description of passing boats, date, time and subject of bridge-to-vessel radio communications, and a brief description of any problems encountered. Essential that employee can work any assigned shift (24/7) and can be on-call (24/7). Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a position with similar level of skill and responsibility or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
